January Paper Pumpkin alternatives

Today, I did a Facebook Live showing the January Paper Pumpkin kit. Here are the alternatives.

This one used the full red base, and was created as shown (mostly) in the instructions. Bow tying is a challenge for me, so I placed the ribbon behind the tag, and adhered the tag to the card.

Simplicity at it's best. The heart stamp was used in the centre of the foiled heart, love stamped in all four corners, and the corner rounder punch was used on the card before adhering it to the card front. The pink striped piece is cut at 4x5.25 and adhered to the front of a 5.5 x 4.25" scored card base. The enamel hearts were coloured with the dark Real Red Stampin' Blends marker.

Ribbon use at it's best. The ribbon was folded back and forth and adhered to the back of the mailbox card. Enamel stars and one enamel heart were stuck to the front, and then the focal image was placed on the card front.

This one is probably my favourite for its simplicity. The heart stamp was inked in Poppy Parade, the Love die cut was glued down, and the single red heart was placed on the word after it was coloured with the Real Red Stampin' Blends marker.

Snailed It is rapidly becoming one of my favourite sets from the January to June mini catalogue, and I love how the snail made an appearance in this kit. He was stamped in Memento Black, and the pink heart was stuck to the shell. The scalloped pieces were butted up to the tag, and Love was stuck flat to the card, with the word you being stamped directly underneath.

This was the other created live on Facebook. The ribbon was tied and placed with a glue dot. Pink enamel hearts were added, and the black scalloped piece was stuck to the back of the card.

Layering gives added interest. The pink layer was cut at 4 x 5.25" and placed on the red piece using dimensionals, enamel hearts were added, and the sentiment stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Do you fussy cut? I don't usually, but this card called for it. The red layer was cut at 4x5.25" and then placed on a white card base. The black scalloped pieces were placed aligned to the top, and the mailbox was tucked into the bottom scallop. The double oval punch was used for the sentiment, and then stuck to one of the pink tags included in the kit.

A little bit of colour goes a long way. I used the blending brushes to add the Poppy Parade ink to the love die cut piece, and adhered it to the tag piece. The red card was cut to 4x5.25" and adhered to the white card base, and the scalloped strip was attached.

I hope you found some inspiration with this Paper Pumpkin kit. If you're in Canada, and would like to give it a try, you can find out more information here.
