What to do with the ugly paper??

Image
We all have it, shoved somewhere at the back of your stash... that secret thing no one wants to talk about. THE UGLY PAPER. There. I said it. Ugly paper. As much as paper crafters hate to admit it, ugly papers do exist. Now, that said, I realize that one person's not pretty is another's jaw-dropping I love it. We buy paper because it's pretty. Because we love it. Because something inside of us tells us we must have it... but, what do you do when you just don't love it? Hopefully, with most double sided papers, you like at least one side. But, sometimes, that just doesn't happen. So, here are some easy ideas for the papers you don't love. By the way- the papers used for this blog post are current Stampin' Up! papers, and not something I necessarily find ugly... I just needed something to create with :) If you see something you  love, and need to have, please check out my online shop here. Dies/punches We have them. We love them. Did you know you can a

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! It was raining this morning when I got up... what better thing to do than head to the craft room and create. And, when it's dreary out, sunflowers still bring a smile to my face- even in basic black and white. Today's project is super easy, though the second version might look a little complex, it really isn't. Let's jump right in! Cut your cardstock to 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Stamp your image twice- once with Momento on Whisper White, then once in Whisper White on Basic Black. Be sure to wash your st

Wow. I came back to my blog today to upload some new stuff, make some changes and update information. My last post was February 6- the day before my life got turned upside down. I was on my way to work on February 7, and was stopped on the highway, waiting to turn. I was hit full-force from behind, spun into oncoming traffic and t-boned. I remember all the details- including opening my door and trying to get out. I was very lucky- I had a tibial plateau fracture (knee), and a radius/ulna fracture (wrist). I needed to have surgery on both my knee and wrist, and was in hospital for nearly three months (about a week shy). I am home now, still on the road to recovery. It's still a long road ahead. I'm still slow, and not able to do everything I want to, which is hard. Even some routine crafting activities are a challenge (like using a punch some days!) But, I am looking at everything I do as physical therapy, and I try to do a bit more every day. I am doing physio three times p
