Bundle focus- Jar of Flowers
Thanks for dropping by! I'm starting a new feature where every Thursday, I'll highlight a project made with one of Stampin' Up!'s bundles. This month, I'm be working with the Jar of Flowers bundle.
Milk glass is one of my favourite collectables- I have several pieces that have come from f
amily members or garage sales. I'm not sure what it is about it that I am drawn to, but it always makes me feel happy to see it- in fact, I have some pieces on my desk that hold pens and other supplies.
I decided that the jar punch would be perfect to recreate the look of milk glass. Let's get started!
You'll need:
Vellum sheets
Jar punch
Merry Merlot card stock (cut to 2 1/4 x 5)
Misty Moonlight cardstock (cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
In Good Taste patterned paper (4 x 5 1/4)
Adhesive sheets
Plush Poinsettia specialty paper
Stampin' Seal
First, I punched two jars from vellum paper, and one from Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. Plush Poinsettia was run through the embossing machine with the Subtle embossing folder, and the other
two were run through using the Ornate Floral and Greenery embossing folders. One of the challenges of any translucent paper is seeing the adhesive lines through the paper, and using adhesive sheets solves thatissue quickly and easily.
Once the punched images were embossed, they were laid out on Merry Merlot cardstock, cut at 2 1/4x5, and the cardstock strip was laid over In Good Taste patterned paper, which was cut to 4x5 1/4, and placed on Misty Moonlight cardstock.
Here's a tip for using dimensionals: The whole sheet is usable, even the edged that frame the cute little hexagon pieces. No one sees it anyway, and you might as well get every penny's worth out of your products!
Happy crafting! Pop over to my Facebook page if you cre
ate anything with this bundle, and share what you created!
