Coffee cup treat holders- 12 days of Christmas day 5
There's tons of great ideas out there for quick and easy gifts. This is my spin on the ever-popular coffee cup treat holder.
I found the cups at our local dollar store. I loved the colour of them, and decided to see what I could do with them.
When I brought them home, I took it apart and discovered it was a sleeve around the white cup. I traced it in a scrap piece of paper to make a template, and then decided that I would measure down the top and the bottom by 1/2 an inch to create a sleeve template. From there, the decorations are up to your imagination! I love the way this one turned out.
Supplies:
Crumb Cake and Real Red cardstock
Stampin' Up Regals markers
Wink of Stella gold glitter pen
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
adhesive
Stampin' Up white chalk marker
Baker's twine
Christmas Magic stamp set
Chocolate Chip ink pad
Corner rounder
Cut out the template from Crumb Cake cardstock.
Cut a piece of cardstock slightly larger than the image. Stamp the train and colour selected areas of it. I added Wink of Stella to the wreath on the front, as well as the windows.
Adhere the train on a piece of real red cut 1/4 inch taller and the same width as the piece the train was stamped on.
Adhere it to the cup sleeve before you form the circle. Once the train is adhered, stamp the north pole image and colour it directly onto the cup sleeve.
To make the tag, I cut a 1.5x1.5 inch piece of Real Red for the front and Crumb Cake for the back. Stamp the sentiment on and round the top and bottom corners. Run adhesive all over the back of one of the pieces. Cut a length of twine and stick it to the back of the cardstock. Cover with the other piece. and tape the tag to the inside of the cup.
I filled the cups with two envelopes of hot chocolate, two mini candy canes and a handful of Hershey Kisses.

Hi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteYour husband brought in a box of all your craft goods and had to tell you how nice they are!! What wonderful ideas for the holidays! I love the gift tags, hot chocolate envelopes and coffee cups filled with goodies. I had mentioned to him that I was getting married in July and might be looking for some personalized items. Regards, Christine
